ROH Supercard of Honor III
Orlando, Florida 8/29/08

1.) Delirious vs. Go Shiozaki: **3/4

This had a mix of a good match and some comedy with Delirious (red light/green light, fearing Go's chops). Very enjoyable opener.

2.) The YRR (Kenny King, Sal Rinauro & Chasyn Rance) vs. Bushwhacker Luke, Dingo & Alex Payne: **1/4

Not much to this one. Just a generic tag match featuring a legend.

Davey Richards & Rocky Romero had just defended the World Tag Team Titles against The Vulture Squad in a match taped for PPV (Take No Prisoners 2008) when Larry Sweeney comes out and offers a buyout to them. This brings out Roderick Strong, who restates his objections to Sweeney's offer. Erick Stevens the rushes out, leading to...

3.) FIP World Heavyweight Title - Roderick Strong vs. Erick Stevens: ****

Well this really wasn't an actual match (the bell never rang), just an elongated brawl that had a bunch of crazy spots. Really Entertaining. Once Strong lays out Stevens, he & the rest of the NRC shave off Stevens' Mohawk.

4.) Relaxed Rules Match - The Age of the Fall (Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black) vs. The Briscoes: ***3/4

This was a really fun brawl. I've always enjoyed these kind of Briscoe Brawls. They're always a ton of fun.

5.) Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. BxB Hulk & Shingo: ****1/4

This was a continuation of the ROH vs. Dragon Gate matches from Dragon Gate Challenge II the night before. It was a really good tag match. This was my first time seeing BxB Hulk in action and I gotta say he's pretty good.

6.) ROH World Title – Nigel McGuinness vs. Austin Aries: ****1/4

Another great ROH World Title defense from Nigel McGuinness. He & Austin Aries put on a really entertaining contest. I feel like the match was a little flat at parts, but that's only a minor complaint.

The Age of the Fall comes out afterwords & Jacobs tells Aries to let him be his "Personal Jesus". Lacey then tells Aries she can show him the benefits of membership. Tammy Stych comes out to question this but Aries leaves with Lacey. This leaves Stych alone in the ring as she's attacked by The Age of the Fall. The Briscoes make the save.

7.) Typhoon (CIMA, Dragon Kid & Ryo Saito) vs. Muscle Outlawz (Naruki Doi, Masato Yoshino, Genki Horiguchi): ****1/2

This is the third Dragon Gate Six Man to have occurred in ROH. It was a fantastic match. About on the same level (I would say) as the match from the year before. Just a lot of good stuff in this one...to much to describe.

Overall: 9.5/10

This has got to be one of the best ROH shows in history.  Pretty much everything from Strong/Stevens on is awesome. Though I wouldn't say it is the absolute best show ROH has ever done, it's pretty close.
