Much like Night 2, this was a very solid wrestling show, but in the end, it probably won't be the best show in the tournament. It was a little better than Night 2 though. There really weren't that many bad matches to speak of. Match of the Night (for me at least), would have to go to the Main Event of Okada vs. Makabe, but Kojima/Tanahashi is a close 2nd. Other really good matches include Davey Boy Smith Jr./Shibata and Fale/Nagata. The rest of the show was relatively solid and, like I said, there really wasn't anything bad to speak of. Another enjoyable New Japan Show.

We all know how wonderful & awesome Night 4 was last year. Once again, Night 4 of the G1 Climax proved to be a fantastic show. The undercard was relatively solid, with some of the highlights being Suzuki & Tenzan having a surprisingly good match, and Yano picking a very quick & shocking upset over Goto. From there, the show turned it up....several notches!! Ishii & Honma had an amazing match to close out the first half, with Honma continuing to put of great matches, even though he continues to lose. Archer/Makabe was entertaining (playing up Makabe's jaw injury, which he suffered earlier in the year), while Nakamura/Nagata & Styles/Naito were both really good. Okada & Anderson have always had great chemistry, so it's no surprise that their match was great. However, it was the Main Event that stole the show, as Shibata defeated Tanahashi in an incredible Main Event that was one of the best matches of the tournament. For the second year in a row, Night 4 has raised the bar. Another fantastic show!
